SAN ANTONIO, Texas. Kimmie's Open Mic returns to Midtown Meetup Neighborhood Hangout, 801 W Russell Pl, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, and again on Sunday, Dec. 13.
Kimmie hosts the monthly second Sunday session for singers, musicians, comedians and poets. The format rewards nerve and variety: a first song, a new verse, a story that is still finding its ending. Listeners are part of the show, and the afternoon hour makes it easy to stay for one more act.
Performers bring a voice, an instrument or a piece to share. Midtown's kitchen and bar stay open, so the loaded baked potatoes are within reach. RSVP is free on Eventbrite.
Midtown Meetup is at 801 W Russell Pl, San Antonio, TX 78212. Event details and the full calendar are at https://midtownmeetupneighborhoodhangout.com/events/, and RSVPs are at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/kimmies-open-mic-tickets-2003746480663.
