SAN ANTONIO, Texas. Midtown Meetup Neighborhood Hangout hosts Midtown Happy Hour from 3 to 7 p.m. on selected dates through Dec. 29, with $2 to $5 food and drink specials at 801 W Russell Pl. The next session is Sunday, Nov. 8.
The premise is pleasantly old fashioned: finish the workday, walk in, and find the neighbors already there. Midtown pairs the specials with its signature loaded baked potatoes, cold beer, cocktails and a generous nonalcoholic selection, and the specials for each date are posted on Midtown's Facebook events.
The November and December calendar lists afternoon sessions across the week, plus two late sessions from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, and Monday, Dec. 28. Every listed date carries a free RSVP on Eventbrite, which helps Midtown plan the room.
