SACDLA Announces Nuts and Bolts CLE on October 30

The Jim Greenfield Memorial program brings a full day of criminal defense fundamentals to the Bexar County Courthouse

SAN ANTONIO, October 2, 2026. The San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association will present the Jim Greenfield Memorial Nuts and Bolts 2026 on Friday, October 30, at the Bexar County Courthouse. The program brings attorneys together for a day devoted to the practical work of criminal defense, with sessions on voir dire, speedy trial litigation, DWI, family violence and building a law practice.

The faculty includes Jessica Joyner, Jessica Gonzalez, Bryan Orihel, Matt Allen, Kellye Fernandez, Dayna Jones and Jonathan Chavez. Allen will present the ethics session, “Defending Everyone but Yourself: Burnout, Balance and the Criminal Defense Lawyer.” Chavez will close the program with “Weed College.”

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., and sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Double Height Courtroom, Room 2.01, on the second floor of the Bexar County Courthouse, 100 Dolorosa, San Antonio, Texas 78205. Contact SACDLA for MCLE approval details.

The early member rate is $90. Members should register before October 15 to secure that rate; regular member registration is $100, and nonmember registration is $200.
